There is freedom in not planning. I know it is shocking for some to hear me say that, because I am the queen of having a plan. Every night before I go to bed, I plan my next day. I plan my lessons for teaching sometimes months in advance. I plan every vacation down to the final details. It drives my husband crazy.
Today I had very little planned. I got it all finished by 9:30. So what will we do the rest of the day? Anything we want! We have a free day! Perhaps we will go out for ice cream after lunch! Maybe we will just lay around and read new books from the library.
God promises us freedom from this world if we put our faith and trust in him. He promises an everlasting life full of goodness if we allow him to plan our lives for us.
Today is all about listening for God's plan, instead of planning the day for myself.
